Seafood Binge 2011

It’s the LAST week of the Meltdown, and I am on a week of vacation in Captiva, Florida (a.k.a. Seafood Paradise).  I don’t have much time to blog at the moment, for popcorn and The King’s Speech are calling my name, but I wanted to give you a little taste of Captiva life.  It’s my goal to eat seafood every day and split a slice of key lime pie at every restaurant we patron (so far, so good).  Oh, and to exercise of course.  My morning runs are picturesque (and balls hot), KT’s beach yogas are spirit cleansing and thigh burning, and our fat butt bikes carry us around this island and it’s one main road.  Tomorrow morning at 7am sharp, KT, my sister, and I are headed on a 16 mile bike ride (roundtrip) for brunch on the next island over.  Then, it’s a homemade shrimp dinner and a sunset cruise in celebration of my big 25.

I sure miss all of my mainland peeps, but island living is TO DIE FOR.  Anyone care to be my lifetime snow bird?

  1. Girl, I hope you at least stopped into the Mucky Duck on Captiva, even though I know you couldn’t eat their scrumptuous burger.

    1. OOOOOO, girl! We stayed just three houses away from the Mucky Duck and was NOT impressed with the food. Granted, we did only get some appetizers, but I actually had to spit out a bite of crab cake and another mystery item. 😦
